HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The Union men's basketball team dropped a 100-65 decision at NCAA Division II foe Lincoln Memorial in an exhibition contest on Friday evening.

The game was apart of the 2010 DeBusk-Burchett Holiday Classic held at LMU.

In the first half, Union and Lincoln Memorial traded baskets, as the Railsplitters held a slim 22-19 lead with seven minutes left in the period after Turrell Morris (Columbus, Ohio) connected on a lay-in.

It was at this point where Lincoln Memorial began to take control of the ballgame, as the Ralsplitters went on a 21-9 run over the next seven minutes to go into the half with a 43-28 lead over the Bulldogs.

In the period, Darriel Hunter (Indianapolis, Indiana) led the way for Union with eight points, while D'Mario Curry came off the bench for Lincoln Memorial and had 17 points to lead the Railsplitter charge.

In the second half, Lincoln Memorial picked up right where they left off to start the half, as they opened up a 52-30 lead at the 17-minute mark on a Darryl Garrett three-pointer.

The Railsplitters eventually opened the game wide open at the 12 minute mark when they raced out to a 66-37 lead over the Bulldogs and continued to add to the lead throughout the period, eventually outscoring the Bulldogs in the half 57-37.

Overall on the night, Ryan Young (Waynesburg, Ky.) led all Union scorers with 14 points off the bench on 4-for-6 shooting from the field. Ian Davis (Cherry Hill, N.J) added 11 points, while Morris had 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Curry led Lincoln Memorial and all scorers on the night with 33 points.

Union returns to action tomorrow when they take part in another exhibition contest against Carson Newman. Action gets underway at 2 p.m.
