BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College men's cross country team dropped one position in the latest NAIA Region XII rankings as it is now ranked No. 5, the organization announced Monday.

Last week, the Bulldogs were ranked fourth in the region. However, Covenant (Ga.) College jumped up two spots to land fourth this week, moving Union down to fifth place.

On Saturday, Union and Covenant tied for 14th at the Southeast Classic in Nashville, Tenn.

The top three teams remained the same with Bryan (Tenn.) College leading the way and Milligan (Tenn.) College and King (Tenn.) College close behind.

Making up the second five are UVa-Wise, Berea (Ky.) College, St. Louis College of Pharmacy (Mo.), Southern Virginia University and Tennessee Wesleyan College.

Next for the Bulldogs is the AAC/Region XII Cross Country Championship at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, Tenn. Saturday, November 3. The menís 8k race is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m.
