EWING, Va. -- The Union College cross country teams competed in the 2010 Railsplitter Invitational hosted by Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday. The event was contested at the Wilderness Road State Park.

For the men, three Union runner competed on the afternoon. Bradley Fieldhouse (Louisville, Ky.) was the team's top performer on the afternoon, finishing the 6k course in 22:10.38 to finish 8th overall. Colin McEachran (Bienheim, Canada) finished just behind his teammate in 11th place after crossing the finish line in 22:45.15, while Joey Landrum (Elsmer, Ky.) placed 17th with a time of 24:35.21.

For the women, Union finished third overall on the day. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Casey Kost (Owensboro, Ky.) who finished 12th in 18:17.92 and Lauren Johns (Stockbridge, Ga.) who placed right behind her teammate in 13th position after running the 4k course in 19:01.19.

The Union cross country team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 6 when they take part in the 2010 AAC Championship in Back Mountain, N.C.
