ATHENS, Tenn. - Union won it's third match in a row with a 3-0 sweep of host Tennessee Wesleyan Tuesday in Appalachian Athletic Conference play.

Union is 12-9 overall and 5-1 in conference play, while Tennessee Wesleyan drops to 2-12 overall and 1-8 in the AAC.

Since joining the AAC in 2002, Union is 19-0 versus Tennessee Wesleyan.

Union won the first set 25-15 and had to hold off Tennessee Wesleyan in the second frame, winning 25-21. Union sealed the win with a 25-18 decision in the third set.

Kalia Yasek (Kula, Hawaii) posted 15 assists and 10 digs with Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) had seven assists. Cat Neumann (Louisville, Ky.) registered a team-high eight kills, and Maddie Peterson (Soda Springs, Idaho) recorded six kills.

Libero Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) had 14 digs and five service aces.

Union returns to action Saturday when it hosts Montreat (N.C.) at 1 p.m. and Indiana East at 5 p.m.
