BRISTOL, Va. - Union remained perfect in Appalachian Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of host Virginia Intermont Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs won 25-17, 25-21, 25-22 to snap their two match winless streak.

With the win, Union improved to 8-5 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Virginia Intermont fell to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the AAC.

Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) recorded 34 assists and eight digs, while Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) helped out with 17 digs. Cat Neumann (Louisville, Ky.) had a tremendous match in hammering 10 kills with only one error in 13 total attacks for a .692 hitting percentage.

At the net, Chelsea Kirschman (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) recorded three solo blocks, and Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.)  contributed six kills.

Union returns to action Friday when it visits Bryan (Tenn.) in another conference showdown. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
