PULASKI, Tenn. - No. 9 William Carey (Miss.) scored two early goals and held on from there in defeating Union 3-0 at the Martin Methodist (Tenn.) Tournament Saturday.

The loss drops Union to 1-2 overall, while William Carey 2-0-1 on the year. The Lady Bulldogs will face host No. 6 Martin Methodist Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

Sasha Rodriguez scored in the third minute to give the Crusaders an early 1-0 advantage. In the 12th minute, Rodriguez set up Phoenix Olivarez as William Carey made it a 2-0 contest.

The Crusaders found the back of the net in the 53rd minute as Jenna Gilbert scored off a Natalia Nino helper.

Union managed on two shots on goal, while William Carey had 10.

This was a rematch from the 2010 NAIA National Championship Opening Round. William Carey won that match 1-0 in Clinton, Miss.
