WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Union took care of business, needing just a little over an hour to dispatch host Cumberlands (Ky.) 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs cruised to the straight-set victory by the final tally of 25-14, 25-18, 25-20 with all 17 players seeing action.

The 3-0 victory comes on the heels of a bit of a rough start for Union, who went 1-3 over the weekend in taking on some of the NAIA's best in the Malone (Ohio) Classic in Canton, Ohio.

Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.) led Union with six kills with Karina Ramos (Presidente, Brazil) and Hollie Hopkins (Knoxville, Tenn.) each adding five. Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) and Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) contributed 21 digs and 34 assists, respectively, in the win.

Union returns to action Thursday when it plays at Asbury (Ky.) at 7 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs (2-3 overall) will play their first home match Saturday as they open Appalachian Athletic Conference play against Reinhardt (Ga.). Match time is set at 1 p.m.
