BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union's offense was up and at-em despite the early start time as the Lady Bulldogs cranked out a 4-0 victory Saturday over Emmanuel (Ga.) in the Lady Bulldog Classic.

Junior Stephanie Cagle (Independence, Ky.) deposited a pair of goals to lead the Union attack, which was just under her total output from last season when she scored five goals.

The win improved Union to 1-1 overall, while Emmanuel dropped to 0-2 on the year.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Sept. 4-5 when they participate in the Martin Methodist (Tenn.) Classic.

Renata Peixoto (Brasilia, Brazil) put Union on the board early in the first with her second goal of the season.

Cagle then netted the Lady Bulldogs' next two goals, and Ashley Hall (Hazard, Ky.) collected her first tally of the season late in the second half to seal the 4-0 decision.

In addition to scoring a goal, Peixoto dished out two assists.
