BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College Athletics Department released today the Women's Soccer schedule for the upcoming 2010 season, as the Lady Bulldogs look to defend its 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference crown.

The schedule totals 18 regular season contests and two pre-season scrimmages as head coach Jason Lanham and his squad look poised to improve on their 16-3-1 mark of last season.

Highlighting the 2010 ledger are three tilts against NCAA opponents, as well as a meeting with defending NAIA national champion Lee University.
The Lady Bulldogs are also slated to battle William Carey and Martin Methodist on the same weekend at the Martin Methodist Tournament. Both teams finished in the top-6 of the final national poll in 2009.
The first two of the three games are pre-season scrimmages against Eastern Kentucky University (Aug. 15) and Lincoln Memorial University (Aug. 19), with the final match coming on October 27, at King College.
Union opens its home schedule on the final weekend of August (27th-28th) as it will host the ‘Lady Bulldog Classic.'
The Lady Bulldogs will open conference play September 18, traveling to Waleska, Ga. to battle Reinhardt.
The 2010 Homecoming contest is set for October 23, as Union will host Missouri Baptist College, while the Lady Bulldogs will welcome Cincinnati Christian University for Senior Day one week later (Oct. 30), marking the end of the regular season slate.
