COLUMBIA, Ky. - Host Lindsey Wilson used a late three-run rally to surge past No. 16 Union for a 5-4 victory Wednesday.

Lindsey Wilson improves to 3-4 overall following the win, while Union's record levels out at 5-5.

The Bulldogs return to action Friday and Saturday when they host Covenant (Ga.) in a three-game series. Friday's game is set to begin at 2 p.m., and Saturday's doubleheader is slated for 12 p.m.

Tied at 2-2 in the top of the sixth, Ryan Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) scored on a bases-loaded walk to Tyler Brake (Burlington, Ky.) to give Union a 3-2 edge. Donnie Popham (Louisville, Ky.) knocked in another run when he reached on a fielder's choice for a two-run advantage.

However, Zach Prichard belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to put Lindsey Wilson up 5-4.

Union got two on base in the top of the ninth, but both were caught stealing to end the threat and the game.

At the plate, Union struggled offensviely as it collected only three hits while Lindsey Wilson lined 11. Michael Adams (Tega Kay, S.C.) went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in the third frame.

The Bulldogs also had their issues defensively as they committed three errors.
