BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - No. 16 Union received contributions from young and old alike as senior Ryan Satterlee and freshman Tyler Brake combined for six hits and six RBIs in the Bulldogs' 14-8 win over visiting Ohio Dominican Sunday.

Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) went 2-for-5 with four RBIs, a double and a pair of runs scored, while Brake (Burlington, Ky.) was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, a two-bagger and two runs scored in his first start of the season.

Senior first baseman Troy Sitton (Cobden, Ill.) continued his hot hitting with a 3-for-4 performance as he doubled and scored twice. On the weekend, he went 8-of-11 at the plate to up his batting average to .500.

The win completes a three-game sweep of the Panthers as the Bulldogs improve to 3-2 on the season. Ohio Dominican drops to 0-3 overall.

As had been the case all weekend, Ohio Dominican jumped out to an early lead, scoring a run in the top of the first. However, the Panthers' advantage was short-lived as the Bulldogs sent 10 batters to the plate in the bottom of the frame and pushed four runs across. Satterlee scored Union's first run on a Brian Mouton (Oakland, Calif.) groundout. Then, Sitton began a two-out rally with a double as Brake added a run-scoring single and Donnie Popham (Louisville, Ky.) roped a two-run single for a 4-1 lead.

Brake added a RBI single in the second to up the margin to 5-1, but Ohio Dominican scored twice in the top of the third to pull within 5-3.

Union countered with three runs in the bottom of the third and two more in the fourth, stretching the lead to 10-3.

Ohio Dominican outscored Union 5-4 the rest of the way, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs came out victorious by the count of 14-8.

Demetrius Davis (Marietta, Ga.) continues to show improvement in the leadoff spot for Union in going 2-for-5 with a run scored and one driven in.

Blaine Adams (Kansas City, Mo.) got the start but lasted four-plus innings, allowing five earned runs on seven hits, two walks and one hit batter with four strikeouts. Lucas Henson (Corbin, Ky.) tossed two scoreless innnings and surrendered only two hits in collecting the win. Jason Parsons (Hamilton, Ohio) threw the final three frames, giving up three earned run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts to record the save.

Felix Brown led the Ohio Dominican offense in going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while John Lydic went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Drew McGlone suffered the loss, giving up 10 runs, seven earned, in four innings of work on 11 hits, four walks and a hit batter wtih three strikeouts.

Union returns to action Tuesday when it pay Cumberlands (Ky.) a visit for a nine-inning contest at 2 p.m.
