BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Senior guard Curtis Stephens nabbed Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after helping guide Union College to a 59-49 road conference win at Bryan (Tenn.) College, the league announced Monday.

The is the first AAC weekly nod for Stephens (Detroit, Mich.), but it is the second for the Bulldogs. Beau Brown (Athens, Tenn.) received the honor on Jan. 6.

Stephens netted a game-high 26 points in leading Union to the 10-point road win Wednesday at Bryan. He went 8-for-16 from the floor and was 3-for-4 from 3-point range. Stephens also accounted for all seven made free throws for the Bulldogs as he went 7-for-8 at the line with the rest of the team going 0-for-3.

The 5-foot-11 guard added five rebounds, four steal and an assist to his scoring output.

On the season, Stephens averages 19.0 points and 4.13 rebounds in eight games played. In addition, he has 21 assists and 16 steals.

Union is 12-11 overall and 6-4 in conference play.
