JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Union College senior Armond Smith posted a third-place finish in the 60 Hurdles at the Niswonger Invitational over the weekend.

Smith (Stone Mountain, Ga.) was the lone person from Union to make it to the podium. He posted a time of 8.49 seconds in the preliminaries before crossing the line in 8.37 seconds in the finals.

In all, eight Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs competed in a 12 different events.

James Fowler (Dallas, Texas) ran the 60 Meter Dash in 7.02 seconds and the 200 Meter Dash in 22:52.  Marekus Smith (Lithonia, Ga.) ran a 7.18 in the 60 Meter Dash and completed the 200 Meter Dash in 23.03 seconds. Daniel Kual (Stone Mountain, Ga.) ran the Mile in 4:46, just three seconds ahead of Eric Kinman (Erlanger, Ky.) with Brad Fieldhouse (Louisville, Ky) completing the race in 5:48.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Nathelie Zetrenne (Louisville, Ky.) competed in three events. In the 60 Hurdles, she posted a time of 10.72 seconds but ran an 8.49 in the 60 Meter Dash. Zetrenne crossed the line in the 200 Meter Dash in 28.01 seconds.

Maurisha Griffin (Louisville, Ky.) ran the 400 Meter in 1:09.

Union will next compete at the Findlay (Ohio) Classic on Friday and Saturday.
