BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College women's soccer coach Jason Lanham earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) East Coach Region Coach of the Year Award, the NSCAA recently announced.

In his second season at the helm, Lanham guided the Lady Bulldogs to a 16-3-1 overall record, a 7-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference mark and the AAC regular-season and tournament championships.

Union also advanced to the NAIA National Championship Tournament for the first time since 2003.

Lanham owns a 30-8-1 records in two years at Union.

By virtue of winning the region honor, Lanham is now in the running for the NAIA Coach of the Year Award, which will be announced in January.
