MONTREAT, N.C. - A pair of goals from Ashley Hall in the final moments helped Union College to a come from behind 4-2 win at Montreat (N.C.) College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference contest Wednesday.

Hall (Hazard, Ky.) booted home the eventual game winner with 3:15 left and then added an insurance goal two minutes later. Jenn Sckirl (Edmonton, Canada) provided an assist on the final goal while Stephanie Cagle (Independence, Ky.) was credited with an assist on Hall's other score.

The win kept Union undefeated in AAC action with a 4-0 record while the Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-2 overall. Montreat slipped to 0-4 in league play and 1-8-1 overall.

Union's first two goals were scored by Renata Peixoto (Brasilia, Brazil). She put Union on the scoreboard with a goal in the ninth minute after Hall played a cross to her. Peixoto tied the match with a penalty-kick goal in the 70th minute.

Brittany Puryear (Somerset, Ky.) played the final 45 minutes in goal for Union and saved Montreat's only shot on goal.

Next on Union's schedule is a trip to Bluefield (Va.) College for another AAC tilt Saturday at 1 p.m.

Lady Bulldog Notes

  • The 10-win season is the ninth time in program history Union has won 10 or more.
  • Both Hall and Peixoto have three multi-goal matches this season.
  • The two goals allowed matches the most Union has given up this year. Union (Tenn.) University and Spring Hill (Ala.) College also scored twice.
