BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Ashley Hall provided Union College a 1-0 double-overtime victory in an important Appalachian Athletic Conference contest against Covenant (Ga.) College Saturday in the Lady Bulldogs' first game at Union Field since 2006.

Hall (Hazard, Ky.) received a heel pass from Marcela Salum (Guatemala City, Guatemala) on the left side of the box. Hall then booted home the goal on the far side in the 108th minute. It was the second game winner of the season for Hall.

The win also sent Union's record to 9-0 on the season and 3-0 in league play. In addition, the Lady Bulldogs have won 17 in a row at home. The victory at Union Field was the fourth in a row as well on the grass surface for the Lady Bulldogs as the squad won the final three home contests in 2006.

The shutout was the second for Patricia Nardy (Sao Paulo, Brazil) this season and Union's fifth in 2009.

Covenant went to 3-3-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the AAC.

Union travels to Spring Hill (Ala.) University for a 5 p.m. meeting Friday.
