CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - No. 25 Union College extended an undefeated streak to 33 victories in a row over Appalachian Athletic Conference foes after defeating Covenant (Ga.) College 5-0 to win the AAC Tournament Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs also earned a berth to the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship to be contested in May.

The tournament championship was the third straight for the Union. The Lady Bulldogs also won the regular season title behind a 6-0 AAC record.

The clinching point came via Camila Cunha (Sao Paulo, Brazil) winning her No. 1 singles' contest 6-3, 6-3.

The sweep is only the fourth of the season for Union and the third against a conference foe.

Thanks to the three doubles' points, Union improved to 32-9 in doubles' play this season.

Union's record improved to 13-3 on the season while Covenant ended 2009 at 12-6.

When the Lady Bulldogs played at Covenant on April 8, Union won 8-1.
