BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College senior Joey Waters and sophomore Antonio Dishman picked up Mid-South Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week honors, respectively, for their sterling performance's in last week's 48-44 loss.

The Bulldogs lost to visiting Lambuth (Tenn.) University, but it wasn't due to the efforts of Waters and Dishman. Union is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the Mid-South Conference East.

Waters (McDonough, Ga.) completed 26-of-35 passes for 335 yards in Union's 48-44 loss to Lambuth. Waters became the third player in Union's history to amass 5,000 yards in a career as he currently has 5,248 yards to go along with 45 career touchdowns. Against the Eagles, the senior signal-caller completed 74.3 percent of his passes with no interceptions. He had a hand in all five Bulldog scores as he passed for four while running in the other. Waters also punted once for 47 yards, pinning Lambuth on its 10-yard line.

On the season, Waters has completed 50-of-74 passes for 584 yards and six touchdowns. He has completed 67.6 percent of his passes.

Dishman (Louisville, Ky.) returned four kickoffs 146 yards, including an 85-yard return for a touchdown.

For the year, Dishman has returned seven kicks for 216 yards, averaging 30.9 yards per return.

Union travels to Malone (Ohio) College Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
