BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Junior Josh Littleton is Union College's lone representative on the Mid-South Conference Footall Academic All-Conference Team, the league announced Monday.

Eighty-nine football student-athletes earned academic conference honors. The annual award is reserved for sophomores, juniors or seniors that maintain a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Littleton (Waverly, Ga.) has been a steady force for the 11th-ranked Bulldogs in the secondary. Having started every game this season, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back is tied for sixth on the team in total tackles with 39. Littleon has 3.5 tackles for a loss of five yards and a half sack to his credit. In addition, he has one interception, seven pass breakups and a fumble recovery to his credit.

On Nov. 15, Littleton had his best game of the season as he made seven tackles with one going for a loss and an interception in a 36-7 victory over visiting Belhaven (Miss.) College.

Union finished the regular season 9-2 overall and 5-1 in the Mid-South Conference East. The Bulldogs advanced to the NAIA Football Championship Series for the first time in program history and will play at No. 3 University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Saturday at 12 p.m. Eastern.
