BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College's Autumn Combs was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week Monday, the organization announced.

Combs, a junior from Florence, Ky., totaled 21 blocks in four matches during the week. She averaged 1.2 blocks per set, which included nine total blocks at University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Saturday. The seven solo blocks in the Cumberlands match were a season-best for her.

She recorded 10 kills in the Indiana University Southeast match for her sixth double-digit kill effort of the season.

Combs pushed her Union career blocks record to 588 during the week. She is the second Lady Bulldog to win the AAC Player of the Week award, joining Brooke Vinovich (Somerset, Ky.). Vinovich won the award Sept. 29.

Union went 2-2 on the week which moved the Lady Bulldogs' record this season to 20-10. The Lady Bulldogs also ended the AAC season with a 14-4 record which gives Union the No. 3 seed for the AAC Tournament.

Next on the schedule for Union is a pair of matches at Shawnee State (Ohio) University Saturday. First for the Lady Bulldogs is a contest against Ohio Christian University at noon. Union plays Shawnee State at 2 p.m. to end the day.
